ZIP files on iPad

ZIP file attachments require an additional app to process. ZipFileViewer is one that works.
Select the ZIP file to get option to Open in ZipFileViewer. Documents can then be processed.

Flow Free -  Flow Free is a simple yet addictive puzzle game.
Connect matching colors with pipe to create a flow. Pair all colors, and cover the entire board to solve each puzzle. But watch out, pipes will break if they cross or overlap!

iOS 6 Released

Time to take note that iOS 6 was released in September 2012. Report is that more than 200 features were addressed. Info is at http://www.apple.com/ios/whats-new/

iOS update to V5.1

iOS update is available to go to V5.1 from V5.0.1. Changes include improvements in battery life.
There is also a report at
http://www.esecurityplanet.com/mobile-security/ios-5.1-patches-over-80-security-flaws.html 
that a multitude of security flaws are addressed.

Workshops Provide Tips

Workshops are available for free from the Apple retail stores.

Look at their sites for schedules.

The Advanced iPad workshop and the iCloud workshop provided a number of useful tips:

iCloud provides storage for files and pushes them to your device with free 5GB (see http://www.apple.com/icloud/)

   New photos are stored for 30 days

   Install on PC by search for iCloud for Windows (XP doesn’t support it).

   Word processing documents in iCloud require Pages app ($10).

    Documents are not shared with other people, but calendars can be.

   Mail will be per an added me.com address.

FaceTime-Great Shanghai to Mass.

FaceTime is a video calling software application and related protocol developed by Apple for supported mobile devices running the iOS,
First time using FaceTime was a call from Shanghai. Quality was very good, much better than Skype video and audio.

You will also note in the picture the Yoobao leather smart cover. It works very well for protection of the iPad.
